Fill boxes firmly so they don’t crush, keep heavy items in small boxes, label each box by room and seal anything that could leak. Loose items shift over 2,700 km.
What can’t go on the truck
Gas bottles, fuel, paint, chemicals and other flammables stay behind. So do plants and soil for WA. Use them up, give them away or arrange to dispose of them before pickup day.
Keep an essentials bag with you
Documents, medicines, chargers, keys, valuables and a change of clothes travel with you, not in the truck. Add bedding and a kettle for the first night in Perth before the load arrives.
